FREE ACCESS TO
INFORMATION
To help assure equitable access to information, the Flossmoor Public Library
offers public access to the Internet. The Library is dedicated to protecting
and promoting intellectual freedom and it will not control or monitor
information in electronic format.
The Internet is a global collection of computer networks created by a highly
diverse population. The Flossmoor Public Library urges Internet users to be
informed consumers and to carefully evaluate information obtained via the
Internet. Although it is a positive tool which provides access to a high
volume of valuable information, the Internet also contains sources which may
provide inaccurate, incomplete, and out-of-date information. In addition,
the Internet contains sexually explicit material and other information which
may be controversial, inappropriate, or offensive. The Flossmoor Library
does not assume any responsibility for information located on the Internet.
Those who use the Library's Internet workstation will do so at their own
discretion.
