FRIENDS OF FLOSSMOOR LIBRARY

Looking for a volunteer position?

The Friends of the Flossmoor Library are seeking volunteers to run for office, to help with our used book sales and other projects.  The time commitment can be as low as 1 hour per month or as high as 5 hours per  month.  We need your help.  If interested, email flossfriends@sslic.net or leave a note with a librarian. 

MISSION STATEMENT

The Friends of the Flossmoor Library is an independent, non-profit, membership-based organization
that supports the work of the Flossmoor Public Library.  We raise money for the library, contribute programs (that are reflective of the varied interests and background of patrons) and raise awareness of its great work. We purchase books and other resources for
the collection at the library's request.  We also contribute to many of the value-added items that make the library an inclusive, comfortable, fun place.

WE RAISE MONEY PRIMARILY:

• through memberships (individuals and families joining)
• proceeds from the used book sale
• tote bag purchased (buy one at the Patron Services Desk for $7)

Civil rights DVD
Genealogy program
Reception for Elizabeth Berg
Draw the Flossmoor Library competition (including
framing of the winning picture)
Library refrigerator magnets and new library cards
Coffee and Conversation
Summer reading program tee-shirts

TO JOIN THE FRIENDS OF THE FLOSSMOOR LIBRARY
Pick up a form at the library or mail (or drop off) a
check with your contact information to the library.
Make the check out to Friends of the Flossmoor Library.

Patron                     $1000

The Board of the Friends meets the fourth Tuesday of every month at 7:00 p.m.
